The CILT(UK) Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers (TMCPC) is designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to carry out the role of a Transport Manager. It provides an assessment route that is accessible, robust, and workplace-relevant, demonstrating both core understanding and the ability to apply learning in real operational settings.
The CILT(UK) TMCPC is made up of one unit, split into four modules.
Each module focuses on a key area of competence required for Transport Managers and covers the requirements set out in Regulation (EC) No 1071/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council (21st October 2009).
Please note: it is highly unlikely that the Traffic Commissioner would accept anyone under 18 as an appropriate Transport Manager for the purpose of meeting the professional competence requirements to hold or apply for an operator’s licence. The Transport Regulation Unit in Northern Ireland has taken the same view on this matter.
